Spinach Artichoke Dip – second time ’round!

This is our second time making a paleo spinach artichoke dip…it is SO good!  And of course, it reminds me of music…

And now, the dip!  Here’ the link to the basic dip recipe.  The first time I made this, I put chopped kohlrabi in the dip.  This time, I left out any extra crunch and chopped some jicama sticks to use for dipping.  Use the spices in the recipe or get creative and try a little of your own flavors.  This dip was really good with sweet potato chips, too.

Momma Goes Paleo!

Several weeks ago, Mimi (my daughter) started a Paleo regime.  No calorie counting, just a lot of healthy eating.  And the benefits for her are really beginning to show.  Clearer skin, weight loss, and just a general feeling of well-being top the list.  Now that all of the summer guests have departed, I’ve decided to go Paleo with her, and Momma Goes Paleo! is born.

And as with just about everything else in my life, my new blog title reminds me of a song…

Today, Mimi suggested banana bread.  Here’s the recipe she tried: http://civilizedcavemancooking.com/grain-free-goodies/paleo-banana-bread/

Mimi tries the first banana bread recipe of many more to come.
Mimi tries her hand at Paleo banana bread.

It was good!  But I saw several other recipes that we will try next.  Looking forward to cooking with coconut flour…if I can figure out where to buy it!
